The Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (GC2018) will be held from the 4th to 15th of April
2018. This global sporting event will see approximately 6,500 athletes and officials from 71 countries compete over 11 days in 18 different sports. GC2018 will require the energy and enthusiasm of 15,000 volunteers to help deliver the games.

The Hockey competition will be held at the newly upgraded Gold Coast Hockey Centre – Musgrave Avenue, Labrador, with training being held at both the Gold Coast Hockey Centre and Runaway Bay Super Centre. The competition will commence on Thursday 5th April, with medal matches scheduled for Saturday 14th April 2018.

GC2018 are now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for outstanding individuals with sport specific knowledge and experience to fill the available volunteer’s roles and work across the hockey competition. In addition to the days of competition, there will be volunteering opportunities at the designated training venues, commencing from 25th March 2018.
